Steven helps organizations optimize operations and accelerate growth. He brings over 15 years of nonprofit experience where he has held senior roles managing IT, fundraising strategy/operations, people development, DEI, and HR. He has successfully led and built systems and processes for small and mid-sized organizations. 

 

Steven’s diverse career experience enables him to offer end-to-end strategic guidance as well as technical assistance that helps businesses succeed. Previously, Steven served as Vice President of People at a startup nonprofit where he led multiple business operation projects, including system implementations like Salesforce, BambooHR, and finance-related systems, and established HR policies, DEI priorities, recruitment processes, and fringe benefit programs. Prior to this role, Steven spent 10 years at a mid-size national nonprofit, where he built fundraising systems, successfully coordinated and led multi-million dollar fundraising campaigns, and provided strategic input on donor/board engagement.

 

Steven is passionate about social impact causes and enjoys learning and empowering those around him. He is a member of the Association for Fundraising Professionals and the Society for Human Resource Management professional organizations, and is an active Trailblazer. He serves on the board of directors for Ms. JD, a national nonprofit that equips aspiring and early career women lawyers with tools and resources that helps them succeed in the legal profession. Steven earned his Bachelors of Arts degree in Political Science from Morehouse College.

In his spare time, you can find him learning Italian, exploring DC’s food scene, and traveling with his wife.
